Angie McGuire is the associate director of the Center for Executive Leadership in Government, and an associate teaching professor & Graduate Director in the Department of Public Affairs and Administration, Rutgers-Camden. Dr. McGuire`s teaching and research interests include economic development, strategic planning, and municipal management. Dr. McGuire`s public management experience includes serving as deputy chief in the New Jersey Governor`s Office of Economic Growth, where she led the policy development and implementation of the state`s economic development strategy from 2006-2009. She served as the governor`s appointee to the Commission for Science and Technology and on the board of the New Jersey Economic Development Authority. In addition, Dr. McGuire worked in senior executive positions in the IT and communications sectors for more than 17 years. She has served as a board member and officer for private and nonprofit organizations, including the Volunteer Consulting Group, the Center for Telecommunications Management, and the Research Institute for Small and Emerging Business.
